Reason, Season, or Lifetime
Reason, Season, or Lifetime
Remember when we were young, we thought we had all the time in the world. Somebody 50-year-old or even 45 seemed to be old. We didn’t care who we spent… we collected friends everywhere. We had many circles like library, school, college, army. We threw our energy into every invitation that came our way. Time felt infinite.
But as you grow older and the years have passed, you realize that time is actually a scarcity. And that, of course, changes how you look at your life. There’s a saying that says that people come to your life for a reason, season, or a lifetime.
It is not about judging anyone. It’s not about deciding who is good for you or bad for you, or even playing the snob, because everyone has their place. It’s simply about recognizing what add value to your life and what is not.
And what happened then when someone from your past, past season that is, get stuck, an old friend? What do you do with that person who stopped growing and who stayed exactly as they were years ago? Perhaps even holding onto old judgment and routine that serves no longer anyone, including you.
Letting go of that isn’t about judging them or deciding who is better. It’s just acknowledging reality. You don’t need a dramatic confrontation. You just change how you allocate your currency of time. You quietly withdraw your energy from the static and invest it into the connection that still inspire you, that challenge you, that add value to your life and bring genuine warmth and love. It is a quiet, gentle graduation and an evolution from one person to another.
I, I truly believe that we have to purge the noise in our life to make room for what’s really matter.
Music have taught me the same lessons, so to speak. Every week, I work real hard to select the tracks and then sequence them properly. I don’t just throw tracks together and hope that they’ll come out all right. I choose them very carefully and with intention. I look for interesting stories behind the artists, the rhythm that moves me and consequently will move you, melodies that will bring something new to your ears.
And right now, you are making a choice. You’re making a choice to listen to this program and spend the evening kind of either having me at the background or choosing time to actually listen. Whatever it is, that is a massive, massive compliment, because I know exactly what your time is worth.
So, my objective tonight is to return that value to you, to entertain you, to share these artists’ stories, and to give you two hours of music that truly elevate your evening. Stay with me for the next couple of hours.
